Born to an Italian mother and Scottish father, Giovanna grew up on Scotland’s west coast where the written word formed a lifeboat that carried her safely through childhood difficulties. After lengthy careers as an actor and a journalist, Giovanna was tasked to write a poem – and found she was full of them. She is now a published and commissioned poet. You can find her recent words in Southchild Lit, Abridged, Bear Creek Gazette, The Speculative Book 2021, Tether’s End, Brag, Wet Grain and Visual Verse. She is currently working with The Museum of Loss and Renewal Publishing on her first full collection.
